At Mudras with Prem, we believe in the profound healing potential that lies within each one of us. Our mission is dedicated to introducing you to the ancient art of hand mudras, the transformative practice of Reiki healing, and the guidance you need to lead a balanced and harmonious life. 

Premlata Haralalka

Premlata Haralalka is a spiritual teacher and healer with 25+ years of experience in the areas of Reiki, Pranic healing, Hand Mudras and spiritual counselling.

Her spiritual journey started 25+ years ago with Reiki under the auspices of Baba Sri Sri Muralidharan, Reiki Grandmaster, Spiritual Guru, Reiki, Pranic & Psychic Healer, and counsellor. Around 20 years ago, she retired from her professional career as a travel entrepreneur to devote herself full-time to spiritual quests and spreading awareness about well-being, ancient Indian scriptures and alternative healing techniques. 

During this time, she has: 

  • Helped her Guru administer Reiki classes to thousands of participants across India 

  • Delivered Reiki initiations, spiritual discourses and Hand Mudra sessions across India and China 

  • Spent years studying Upanishads and Vedas, and aided her Guru to publish  several books on related subjects 

As someone passionate about spreading knowledge and wisdom, she aspires to spend her time guiding, mentoring, and healing people who are interested in and believe in the same areas as her.

1979

A formative period combining education, national service, and grassroots social work.

Key milestones:

  • Completed Post Graduate Diploma in Management

  • Represented India as an NCC Cadet at the Republic Day Parade

  • Engaged in rural school visits and child interaction programs

  • Completed a Diploma in French

  • Independently taught French to young learners from 1979 to 1983

2015–2020

Expanded service beyond borders.

International work:

  • Conducted Reiki workshops in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and China

  • Delivered a Women’s Day talk in Shanghai on the role of women in shaping culture

  • Led an international retreat in Suzhou, China

  • Conducted Bhagavad Gita and meditation sessions for children in Kolkata and Mumbai

1956

Born in Kolkata on the sacred day of Buddha Purnima, into a traditional Marwari business family. Named Premlata by my paternal grandmother.

Early influences:

  • Both grandmothers deeply shaped my values

  • Instilled compassion, simplicity, and a lifelong commitment to service

Foundations 

1983

Community Leadership

  • Founder President, Lioness Club

  • Led multiple social initiatives

  • Founded and edited BANDHU, the club magazine focused on service

  • Recognized as Lioness of the Year and Best President

  • Appointed Associate Chairperson, Lioness Clubs of Kolkata

1997

Embraced Spiritual and Healing Path

A pivotal inner and outer transformation.

Spiritual service:

  • Learned Reiki, leading to deep personal change

  • Met spiritual Guru Sri Muralidharanji (Baaba), whose guidance reshaped life direction

  • Volunteered in community Reiki sessions

  • Organized children’s healing programs

  • Helped make Reiki accessible to Hindi-speaking audiences

  • Completed Master’s level in Reiki

  • Trained in Pranic Healing and began healing as an act of seva

2002–2016

A phase fully dedicated to spiritual service.

Contributions:

  • Editor, AATHMAJNAANA, Baaba’s spiritual magazine

  • Transcribed Baba’s discourses

  • Assisted in publishing spiritual books

  • Helped create accessible formats including a Kindle edition

  • Focused entirely on seva to the Guru and sharing divine knowledge with seekers

1987

Entered entrepreneurship with service as the underlying intent.

Initiatives:

  • Launched an independent travel agency, among the few women entrepreneurs of the time

  • Organised conferences for organizations such as Larsen & Toubro, Kirloskar, and ITC

  • Collaborated with state tourism departments, supporting regional tourism, livelihoods, and development

Uganda

  • Conducted hand mudra awareness sessions for teachers, staff, students, and parents at Ssanyu Primary School

  • Participants continue daily practice as communicated

9 Dec 2025

Switzerland

  • Conducted a hand mudra awareness session for a private executive group

  • For many participants, mudras became part of daily life

2018–2025

Hand Mudras and Everyday Wellness

A mission to make self-healing accessible to all.

Impact:

  • Began free awareness sessions after years of personal research

  • Conducted sessions through Lions Clubs, Rotary, Emoha, GetSetUp, and other platforms

  • Designed and taught structured hand mudra courses

  • More than 50,000 people have attended these sessions

  • Featured in CHAUTARE magazine, January 2025, for an article on Hand Mudras
